Minor annoyance: I was trying to do that (ambertools alone), and
at some point it said:
The most common next step is to cd ../../src, and type 'make clean',
followed by 'make parallel'. See the Users' Manual for details.
So I did; and then it said
make: *** No rule to make target `clean'. Stop.
