(Dave, I hope it's OK if I interrupt here.)
Can you tell me how exactly you can't compile the parallel version? Is
it something to do with "libnetcdf.a not found"?
The reason I ask is that I ran into that problem yesterday, and am
working on a solution for it.
If it's something else, then others (like Dave) are almost certainly
better placed to help you. Over to you...
