Just a note...

PDF is a better format than e-book for that. e-books can have
different font sizes and orientations, and the page numbers can get
messed up. Not a big deal, but PDF still keeps the original format
much better. I'd only recommend to make sure e PDF has all the tags
and links for chapters and sections, and you'll have a much richer
version. I'm pretty sure iBooks can handle that, and Kindle should as
well.
