Re: [AMBER-Developers] final (!?!) release candidate for Amber11

Hi all,
Just some days ago a colleague complained about "make test" failing for
AmberTools 1.3. Up to now we've figured out that the failure occurs only
with Fedora Core 12 - x86_64.
Of course, "make test" also failed for the most recent release candidate.
Errors occur with gcc 4.4.3, both the vendor supplied and the "self built"
version.

As an example,
.../AmberTools/test/nab/Run.gb
gives

getpdb: can't open file gbrna.ddb
./Run.gb: Program error

and the astute observer notices that though the nab-source said
"gbrna.pdb", the compiled executable tried to load "gbrna.ddb".

All cases I've had a cursory look at yet fail due to garbled strings.

Having some time to spare during the coming days,I'll try to hunt that
down. Anyway, all should be forewarned if users running FC12-x86_64
might complain.

Andreas
