Okay, not exactly, I realized. Why, not that I have thought it through in
great detail, can't you use a Makefile for amber and a Makefile_at for
ambertools, with Makefile_at called from amber Makefile? (I have not been
dinking with build details in some time, but unless I am just forgetting
some detail, this gets you what you want with minimal complexity; if I am
overlooking something, my apologies...). - Bob
