This won't work. The bugfix files are meant for users, who don't have access
to CVS. Use the procedure Ross outlined in his email.
Basically, the amber10 CVS tree is of very limited use. Users get a tar
file that is *based on* the CVS tree (as is stood in March 2008), but which is
different in subtle ways from it. And, some commits were made after the
release (which ideally should not have happened, but did.)
