Depends a little on what you mean by "okay". The -cygwin flag does some
nice
things like adding the .exe suffix (needed on older windows, and expected
by
lots of windows utilities), also makes many executables that do not depend
on cygwin1.dll (so can be run on machines where cygwin is not installed).
