Not a real answer, but two comments:
1. As far as I can see, there is no NVIDIA SDK that supports gcc14. Since
so many parts of Amber/AmberTools (pmemd, sander, pbsa, cpptraj, quick,
mdgx, ...) have CUDA components, is it really "on" to try to support this
compiler version?
2. The easy way (at least for me) to build with gcc14 is via conda,
where this version is the default for Linux. I've done this for
cpptraj (without CUDA support); everything compiled fine, but
I haven't yet had time to test the results.
(Dan: the latest version 0.5 that you should get via 'conda install
dacase::cpptraj' was compiled with gcc14. But maybe you already expect
cpptraj to be OK with this compiler version.)
