Hi everyone:
Charlie Laughton is visiting from Notingham. He has a project to make
Amber work better in intermittent environments, like the spot market on a
cloud.
Simple first steps would be things like making it transparent to continue
a calculation that was interrupted. Longer term, Charlie's group would like
to help out with making replica exchange, Markov state models,
or other "advanced" techniques easier to use on spot-market cloud instances.
They are in contact with Shantenu Jha, but not with other things that might be
going on in Amber-land.
The reason for this email is to see who else (a) might already be doing things
like this; or (b) are interested in the subject.
