My reference points:
1. This is not a problem with ifort_ia64 version 9.0.021 or 9.0.026, on SGI
Altix.
2. It is not a problem with ifort 9.1.033 on em64t.
3. I don't have any version of 9.1 for ia64, but it would be helpful to
know the exact version you have (i.e. the output of ifort -V).
